The Sheridan City Council will be considering the budget for FY23 at its regularly scheduled business Monday night. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

A public hearing for the budget resolution for the fiscal year that begins on July 1 will be held during the meeting followed by the City Council’s consideration of the budget for the City of Sheridan that totals $51.9 million. Mayor Rich Bridger.

The council will also be considering three separate resolutions to establish five-year rate plans for the City’s water, sewer, and solid waste enterprise funds.

First reading of an ordinance regarding a gambling moratorium with the Downtown Development District will be considered by the council and there will be an election update provided by City Clerk Cecilia Good. The meeting will be Monday night at 7 in council chambers on the third floor of Sheridan City Hall.

    …and what about the new “parks dept” that was just passed last week?….how will that be funded?…looks like there will be a budget shortfall and a possible mill levy request in the near future…a new “parks dept”…that’s one way to get a locomotive moved I guess
