University of Wyoming Football: The University of Wyoming Cowboy Football Team closed out their 2024 season on a winning note this past weekend.

Trailing 14-9 with about 3:39 remaining on the clock, the Pokes would put together a 14-play 90 yard drive, topped off with Evan Svoboda connecting with John Gyllenborg, for 18 yards for the teams’ only touchdown of the game, and it was enough to get the win at Washington State 15-14.

Svoboda was 21 of 34 passing for 206 yards, 1 TD, 1 interception and was sacked 6 times.

John Hoyland provided 3 field goals to help the cause.

The defense came through with a second half shutout, got 2 turnovers, 6 sacks and held Washington State to 1 of 10 on 3rd down conversions.

UW finishes the 2024 season with a record of 3-9.


Mountain West Conference Football: The conference championship game is set.

This coming Friday it will be UNLV at Boise State.

Kickoff is scheduled for 6pm Mountain Time.

The game is a rematch from last year, which saw the Broncos win in Las Vegas.

The Rebels and Colorado State finished tied for 2nd in the conference, but did not play each other.

UNLV won the tie-breaker based on a higher College Football Playoff Ranking.


University of Wyoming Basketball: The Wyoming Cowgirls went 2-1 at the Puerto Rico Shootout.

On Thursday, UW defeated Drake 71-57.

Emily Mellema led the way with 20 points, Allyson Fertig added 18 and Malene Pedersen scored 15.

On Friday, the ladies lost vs. Norfolk State 56-47.

Fertig had a double-double with 19 points and 21 rebounds.

Tess Barnes contributed with a dozen points.

UW shot 32% from the field and the main problem was that the Cowgirls only got 1 point from the bench.

On Saturday, Wyoming won vs. Virginia 71-66.

Pedersen scored 23 and Fertig had 22, while Mellema grabbed 13 rebounds.

Free throws made the difference in that game as the ladies were 18 of 30 from the charity stripe, compared to 13 of 19 for the opposition.

The Cowgirls have evened up their record on the season at 4-4 and next play this coming Friday at Missouri State.

The Wyoming Cowboys are scheduled to be back on the court this coming Wednesday, in an early conference game at Utah State.


Sheridan Hawks Junior Hockey: The Sheridan Hawks split road games vs. Great Falls this past weekend.

The team lost on Friday 3-2, but rebounded to win on Saturday 4-2.

Sheridan is back at home this coming Friday and Saturday vs. Cody.

After that the team will prepare for the showcase event in Minnesota, take a break and then resume play in early January.


Denver Broncos Football: The Denver Broncos play in the Monday Night Game tonight at home vs. Cleveland.

Kickoff is scheduled for 6:15 and you can hear the game LIVE on Fox Sports 106.3 FM.


Denver Nuggets Basketball: The Denver Nuggets lost yesterday at the LA Clippers 126-122.

The Nuggets next game is tomorrow at home vs. Golden State.


Colorado Avalanche Hockey: The Colorado Avalanche lost both games this past weekend.

On Friday the team lost at Dallas 5-3, and then lost on Saturday at home vs. Edmonton 4-1.

The Avs start a 5-game East Conference road trip tomorrow at Buffalo.
