Sheridan HS Boys Tennis: It takes 2 to tango, and the Sheridan boys tennis team used that logic to win only its second state championship in school history, and its first in 40 years.
All 3 doubles teams made it the championship match of their respective bracket.
Matt Brown and Eric Venn won in the boys #1 doubles competition.
Venn says the strategy was to let his partner get most of the points and he would back him up.
Brown says he and his partner knew what each other’s strengths were and made it work.
Sam Wilcox and Christian Lamen won boys #3 doubles.
Sheridan HS Volleyball: Sheridan is scheduled to be back on the court today in 4A East Conference action.

Big Horn HS Volleyball: The Big Horn Lady Ram volleyball team is moving right along in the 2025 season.
BH is the 2-time defending 2A state champs and so far have a record of 19-7 this season.
Head Coach Alli Nikont says the team has already played some of the best from 4A and 3A and through that, the players have gained a lot of experience.
Big Horn is next scheduled to play this coming Friday at home vs. Wright and on Saturday at Sundance.

Colorado Rockies Baseball/MLB Playoffs: While the Colorado Rockies may have avoided having the worst 162-game season record in history, the team did put itself in the futility books in other ways.
The Rocks’ record in 2025 was 43-119, which was only 2 games better than last year’s Chicago White Sox team, and is tied for the 2nd worst record in history with the 2003 Detroit Tigers.
That’s the good news.
The bad news is of all teams in the past that have played a 162-game season, that record is the worst record in National League history, topping the 1965 New York Mets by 7 games.
Colorado also has the worst run differential in a season, regardless of how many games were played.
The Rockies’ run differential in 2025 was negative 424.
The next worst was the 1932 Boston Red Sox who check in at negative 345.
The 2026 regular season schedule is out, and the Rocks start on Thursday, March 26th at Miami.
The home opener is scheduled for Friday, April 3rd vs. Philadelphia, and to make things interesting, the team closes the regular season at the Chicago White Sox.
Meanwhile, all teams in this year’s wild card round are scheduled to play Game 1 of their best of 3 series today.
First pitch is at 11:08am for Detroit at Cleveland.
At 1:08pm, it’s San Diego at the Chicago Cubs.
