University of Wyoming Football: The Wyoming Cowboy Football team will play their last non-conference game this weekend, when the team visits Colorado in Boulder.

If there is one weakness within the Buffalos, it’s figuring out who their quarterback is.

CU has 3 signal callers and 2 of those 3 have started so far this season.

UW Head Coach Jay Sawvel says it’s a challenge to get the defense properly prepared for the right QB, who may or may not play the entire game.

Kickoff this Saturday is scheduled for 8:15pm.

Wyoming High School Sports Class 1B Proposal: There could soon be a 5th state championship team in volleyball and basketball.

Currently there are 25 teams in Class 1A for those sports, but lately it has usually been the same teams that qualify for the 8-team state tournament each year.

A proposal has been brought forth to the Wyoming High School Activities Association Board of Directors to create a Class 1B, which could start as early as this time next year.

WHSAA Commissioner Trevor Wilson explains some of the reasoning behind the proposal.

The WHSAA Board of Directors is scheduled to meet on Thursday, October 2nd to discuss the issue.

Arvada-Clearmont has 1 girls basketball state championship in its trophy case.

That happened back in 2007.

The A-C volleyball team has been to the state tournament a number of times, but the Lady Panthers have only made it to the semi-finals twice, and have never played in the state championship match.

Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies lost the first game of a 3-game series at home yesterday vs. Miami 6-5.

Mickey Moniak hit a 3-run home run in the 8th inning to try to get a comeback started, and had 4 RBI’s total.

The Rocks and Marlins will play each other again today starting at 6:40pm.
