University of Wyoming Football: Football can sometimes be a game of opportunities and the Wyoming Cowboys missed a number of those, in this past Saturday’s loss at home vs. Utah.
In the first half, the opposition missed 3 field goals and fumbled once, but the Brown and Gold could not turn those turnovers into points.
In 2 of those 4 situations, the offense went 3 and out.
Then in the third quarter, trailing 10-nothing, the Pokes defense allowed a first down conversion on a 3rd and 21 play, on a drive in which the Utes eventually scored a touchdown.
UW Head Coach Jay Sawvel says part of the problem was executing plays.
Wyoming will play their final non-conference game of the season this coming Saturday at Colorado.
Kickoff is scheduled for 8:15pm.
