Sheridan College To Start 2025-26 Rodeo Season At Chadron State

The 2025-2026 season starts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, September 5th, 6th and 7th for Sheridan College.

Chadron State is the host for the first competition of the season.

There are 10 rodeos on this season’s schedule with 5 of them taking place in September and October, while the other 5 will take place in March and April.

Competitors earn points based on what place they finish in at each rodeo event.

The top 3 individuals in each event at the end of the season in April, automatically qualify for the College National Finals Rodeo, which will be held in mid-June in Casper.

Last season was the first time since 2011 that no one from Sheridan College qualified for the CNFR.

The College will host its annual weekend event on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, September 26th, 27th and 28th at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds.
