Sheridan College Men Place 2nd At 2025 Home Rodeo Event

The Sheridan College Men’s Rodeo Team continues to leave its mark on the Central Rocky Mountain Region.

Saddle Bronc rider Christopher Nelson tied for 1st and 2nd place in the average, and Jake Schlattmann placed 3rd, while Talon Arcoren placed 3rd in the bareback riding average, to help the Generals place 2nd at the 2025 Pat Hamilton Rodeo at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds.

Nelson’s score was 157 on 2, while Schlattmann’s score was 150.

Through 3 rodeos in the 2025-26 season, Schlattmann and Nelson are 1st and 2nd respectively in the regional standings.

Tyon Arneson and Emmett Sortum placed 4th in the team roping and are tied for 1st and 2nd place in the region.

Although the Sheridan College women did not place in the team standings, several cowgirls placed in their respective individual events.

Rylee Price was 4th in the breakaway roping and 9th in the goat tying, to end up 4th in the women’s all-around category.

Allie Huskey was 4th in barrel racing.

The next scheduled rodeo event is October 3-5 at Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne.
