Sheridan HS Football: The Sheridan High School Football team would continue their winning ways this past Friday as the team defeated Cheyenne Central 28-14.

That runs the winning streak up to 49, which is currently the 3rd longest active streak in the country.

The Broncs have also now won 31 games in a row at home, which ties the state record, set by the old Byron High School from 1953-1961.

Lately the injury bug has been trying to take a bite out of the team, but Head Coach Jeff Mowry says that’s where depth comes in to replace the injured, and it’s also a way to build depth as well for other players.

Sheridan is scheduled to make their longest road trip of the year this Friday at Rock Springs.


Big Horn/Tongue River HS Football: Big Horn had little trouble as they took care of business at Moorcroft, 69-6.

The Rams are next scheduled to play this coming Friday at home vs. Glenrock.

Tongue River was shut out at home by Upton-Sundance 16-zip.

The Eagles are on the road this coming Friday against Wheatland.


Johnson County HS Football: Buffalo lost at Riverton 41-12.

The Bison next play this coming Friday at home vs. Torrington.

Kaycee lost an exhibition game on Friday at home vs. Guernsey-Sunrise 63-59.

The Buckaroos next play Friday at Meeteetse.

Sheridan/Johnson County HS Volleyball: Sheridan had the weekend off from competition.

The Lady Broncs are scheduled to play a pair of home games this coming Friday and Saturday vs. Cheyenne East and Cheyenne Central.

Big Horn won both of their games this past weekend at home vs. Wright and at Sundance.

The Lady Rams are next scheduled to play Thursday at 4A Natrona County and on Friday at Moorcroft.

Tongue River split weekend home games, losing against Sundance, but recovered to defeat Greybull.

The Lady Eagles next head to Glenrock and Douglas on Friday to take on Pine Bluffs as well as 3A Burns.

Then on Saturday, TR plays at Moorcroft.

Arvada-Clearmont lost back on Saturday at home vs. Upton.

The Lady Panthers will head to the Kaycee Invitational, scheduled for this coming Friday and Saturday.

Buffalo lost on Saturday at home vs. Wheatland.

The Lady Bison are next scheduled to play Thursday at home vs. Rawlins and on Saturday at Torrington.

Kaycee won their lone game of the week back on Saturday at Rock River.

The Lady Buckaroos are scheduled to play at home on Thursday vs. Casper Christian and then host an invitational this coming Friday and Saturday.

Sheridan/Johnson County HS Cross Country: Ethan Rayo of Buffalo and Lyla Marney of Big Horn placed 1st individually in the boys and and girls races at Cody this past weekend.

The Buffalo boys finished 1st in the team standings.

Sheridan/Buffalo HS Girls Swimming and Diving: Sheridan won their home finale on Friday in a double dual vs. the Gillette teams, then placed 3rd out of 6 teams at the Kelly Walsh Invitational.

The Lady Broncs are next scheduled to compete on Friday and Saturday at Cheyenne.

Buffalo placed 1st out of 5 teams at the Douglas Invitational back on Saturday.

The Lady Bison are scheduled to host a pre-invite and their own invitational this coming Friday and Saturday.

Sheridan Hawks Junior Hockey: The Sheridan Hawks won both games on the road against Butte this past weekend.

Scores were 4-1 and 8-2.

In Saturday’s game Dante Hunziker had a hat trick.

The Hawks are back at home this weekend, as the team will take on Great Falls on Friday, and Butte on Saturday.


University of Wyoming Football: Special teams were not so special for the Wyoming Cowboys, as the punter protection unit broke down twice, allowing UNLV to block 2 kicks and run them back for touchdowns, and that ended up making a difference as the Rebels won in Laramie 31-17.

Pokes QB Kaden Anderson was 25 of 46 passing for 254 yards and 1 touchdown pass to Justin Erb.

Anderson was picked off once.

Deion DeBlanc ran in one touchdown.

The Brown and Gold are back at home again this coming Saturday vs. San Jose State.


Denver Broncos Football: The Denver Broncos came back from a 17-3 deficit in the 4th quarter, to stun defending Super Bowl Champ Philadelphia on the road 21-17.

Quarterback Bo Nix was 24 of 39 passing for 242 yards and 1 touchdown pass to Evan Engram.

J.K. Dobbins had 1 rushing score and kicker Will Lutz added 2 field goals.

The Broncos will head over-seas this weekend as the team will play the New York Jets in London.

Kickoff this Sunday is scheduled for 7:30am Mountain Time.


Colorado Avalanche Pre-Season Hockey: The Colorado Avalanche lost on Saturday at Dallas 3-2, in their pre-season finale.

The regular season for the Avs starts tomorrow at LA.

The home opener is scheduled for this coming Thursday vs. Utah.


Denver Nuggets Pre-Season Basketball: The Denver Nuggets lost on Saturday against Minnesota 126-116.

That game was played in San Diego.

The Nuggets play their next pre-season game today against Toronto, and that game will be played at Vancouver.

Tip off is scheduled for 8pm.


Major League Baseball Playoffs: Toronto has a 2-nothing lead on the New York Yankees in their American League best of 5 division series.

The Blue Jays will try for the sweep tomorrow at New York,

Detroit and Seattle are split 1-1 in their series.

Game 3 is tomorrow at Detroit.

Today is Game 2 in the National League.

The Dodgers lead Philadelphia 1-nothing and Milwaukee has a 1-nothing lead against the Chicago Cubs.
