Sheridan County adds six new cases of COVID-19 in 24 hours
According to Sheridan County COVID-19 Public Information Officer Jennifer Graves, since the beginning of the pandemic, the county has experienced 2,606 total lab confirmed cases, plus six in the last 24 hours.
Twenty-six cases of the virus are active in Sheridan County and reports say three patients have recovered in the last 24 hours.
Sheridan County has experienced 31 deaths among its population resulting from COVID-19. Currently, five patients are hospitalized.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention list Sheridan County at a level of community transmission as HIGH.
These numbers represent individuals who have been tested and either reported the result or were tested onsite by a reporting entity.
It is difficult to really know how many residents have contracted COVID-19, according to Sheridan Memorial Hospital Chief Medical Officer Dr. John Addlesperger. With the availability of at-home tests and the multiple testing sites provided by pharmacies that number is difficult to determine.
According to the CDC, of Wyoming’s population, approximately 42% have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Those who are fully vaccinated amount to 36% of the population.
The delta variant of the virus now accounts for 20% of new cases in the US and has been found among Sheridan’s population. According to a recent story by the Associated Press, experts warn this could become the dominant variant in the US.

Really sad!!! There is no need for ANYONE to catch Covid, no need for ANYONE to DIE. No need for ANYONE to spread covid to strangers and loved ones. Look to doctors, Not the internet or rumor mongers for your Vaccine information. Don’t let your body be the petri dish that creates then next variant, that kills us all. Call me a sheep or traitor if you want, but please choose to get your Covid information from trained professional health folks, not from facebook or cousin Shemp {or even Moe} .

I work in a hospital. For many months all i had was a mask , distance and hand washing. I could not work from home. I either quit or worked. Quitting was not an option. People needed help and it was a very difficult time for every one, elderly, kids, parents, all. I was 64 yrs old , no major health issues. I took the vaxx at the first offering. Call me a sheep… but hopefully i will still be around to respond to your assessment. Talk with your DOCTOR if you havent gotten the vaxx.
