Governor Mark Gordon has appointed Jeremy Kisling to be a Circuit Court Judge for the Fourth Judicial District serving Johnson and Sheridan counties. Kisling’s appointment fills the vacancy left by the retirement of Sheryl Smith Bunting, who resigned effective September 16, 2026.

Kisling graduated from the University of Wyoming with an Agricultural Business degree in 2005 and received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Wyoming School of Law in 2008.  He runs his own law practice Kisling Law LLC in Sheridan, and also serves as a Sheridan Municipal Court Judge since 2024.

Kisling said that he’s honored and grateful to Governor Gordon for the appointment and appreciates the confidence placed in him through this process. Kisling added that he looks forward to serving the community with integrity, fairness, and continuity and to faithfully uphold the rule of law.
