Teresa Fitzpatrick

Teresa M. Fitzpatrick passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on January 10th, 2020 after her short but valiant battle with pulmonary fibrosis. She was born on August 6, 1958, in Sheridan, WY to Harvey and Naomi Scott Sr.

Teresa spent her childhood growing up in Nebraska where she graduated from Niobrara High School in 1977 one year after having her son, Travis Fitzpatrick. Shortly after graduating Teresa and Travis returned to Sheridan, Wy., her birthplace and town she would call home until her passing. Teresa started working at the VA as a CNA where she met Dean Fitzpatrick. The two were married in 1980 and soon welcomed a baby girl Karol Fitzpatrick in 1981. Teresa graduated from the Sheridan College Nursing Program in the spring of 1989 as a Registered Nurse. Nursing was her passion and she spent the next 35 years in a career she loved; caring for and helping others. Teresa loved being outdoors with her family camping, fishing, hiking, hunting, and most of all four-wheeling, all of which fueled her fire for adventure. She devoted a great deal of her life to the word and teachings of God and she would share his word with anyone who would listen. She was a member of the United Pentecostal Church for many years.

She was preceded in death by Harvey Scott Sr., Dean R. Fitzpatrick, Naomi Scott, and Harvey Scott Jr.

She is survived by her son Travis Fitzpatrick (Reagan), her daughter Karol Shannon (Trent), her six grandchildren Tyler, Steven, Logan, Rhett, Kaylee, and Reese. Her sister Neva Motacek-Kunnard (Larry), her brother Elmer Scott (Jennie), her six nieces and nephews Jerry and Brian Motacek, Rosa, Joseph, and Joshua Scott, and Morgan Scott.

Celebrating the life of Teresa Fitzpatrick will be held on Friday, January 17, 2020, at 2:00 pm with Reverend Bernie Chavez officiating at Champion Funeral Home. Online Condolences may be written at www.championfh.com.
