Broncs Prepare for State Basketball / Cowgirls Knocked out of the MWC Tournament / Cowboys Take on UNLV Thursday Afternoon

BRONC BASKETBALL – The Sheridan Broncs open the state 4A basketball tournament Thursday night their first round opponent will be Riverton the game is scheduled to tip off at 9:00 and we will have it live for you on 14-10 KWYO and 106.9 FM.

The Broncs went through a quick paced practice Monday evening and Head coach Jeff Martini says it’s about staying sharp and he talks about keys for the best result this week.

And he says the teams that handle the pressure on day one will be the teams advancing to play in the semi finals Friday night.

And finally they have to anticipate all kinds of challenges during each game meaning every player needs to be ready no matter what their role might be.

COWGIRLS BASKETBALL – The Wyoming Cowgirls opened the Mountain West conference tournament last night against Colorado state, they fell apart in the 4th quarter and lost 51-38 they were outscored 19-3 in the 4th quarter to end their season.

COWBOY BASKETBALL – The Cowboys open the Mountain West conference tournament in Las Vegas Thursday afternoon against UNLV cowboy pregame at 3:00 with the tip at 3:30 live on KWYO and 106.9 FM.

SPRING SPORTS – High school spring sports season started Monday and in typical fashion practice started indoors for the Lady Bronc soccer team, Head coach Kevin Riser says they’re used to that and says if you wanted some snow and moisture the Lady Broncs are happy to help out.

The spring sports season opens for games March 18th.
