Wyoming Shrine Bowl 2024: Tomorrow 11 recent high school football graduates from North-Central Wyoming will try to bring glory back to the North.

It’s the annual Wyoming Shrine Bowl football game, as the North and South battle for bragging rites, and to raise funds for the Shriner’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The North leads the overall series, but the South won last year’s game.

Sheridan High School Quarterback Dominick Berrettini says this year’s players had nothing to do with last year, but they’ve been hearing about it, and he adds this year’s North team is ready.

Kickoff for tomorrow’s Shrine Bowl Football Game is at 2pm at Natrona County High School in Casper.

College National Finals Rodeo: The College National Finals Rodeo starts this coming Sunday at Casper.

Bull rider Wyatt Phelps is the lone representative from Sheridan College that will be competing in the week-long event.

At last year’s CNFR, he went 1 for 4 on his bull rides, but because the bulls dominated the competition, Phelps’ one ride was good enough for him to finish in 4th place overall.

Now that he’s been there and done that, he says this year, he plans to take the same approach as last year.

All competitors at the CNFR are guaranteed 3 rides in their respective event.

The top 12, total on 3 come back next week Saturday for the championship short-go.

According to the draw, Phelps will have his first ride on Sunday.

His second ride is scheduled for Tuesday morning, and his third ride is Tuesday evening.

He will then have to wait out the rest of the week, to find out if he’s in the finals.

Sheridan Troopers Legion Baseball: The Sheridan Troopers are currently on top of the Wyoming AA conference standings, after sweeping Tuesday’s double-header vs. 4-time defending state champ Cheyenne at home.

It has happened to many sports teams that after a huge win, a big let down sometimes follows, but Coach Austin Cowen says the Troopers have gone through that before, and are working on making sure it doesn’t happen again.

Sheridan’s next game is this coming Tuesday.

It will be a home double-header vs. Miles City, Montana.

The next conference game is one week from today at Casper.

Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies snapped their 5-game losing streak yesterday with a 3-2 win at St. Louis.

Game 2 of the 4-game series is today, starting at 6:15pm.

Tomorrow and Sunday’s games will be afternoon contests, starting at 2:15pm and 12:15pm respectively.

NBA Finals: Boston won Game 1 last night at home vs. Dallas 107-89.

Game 2 of the best of 7 series will be played on Sunday at Boston.
