Sheridan HS Girls Basketball: Sheridan High School is looking for a new girls basketball coach.

Recently, Ryan Sullivan, who has coached the Lady Broncs for the past 5 seasons, was named the new Women’s Basketball Head Coach at the University of Montana Western, which is located in Dillon, and about 65 miles south of Butte.

During his time in Sheridan, he compiled a record of 76-49 and coached the Lady Broncs to 1 state championship and 1 state runner-up finish.

Sullivan is a Montana Western alumnus, having played football and men’s basketball for the Bulldogs from 2013 until 2018.

The Lady Bulldogs basketball team are the 2019 NAIA National Champions, and went 7-21 this past season.

Sheridan/Buffalo HS Soccer: Sheridan will conclude their regular season today against Thunder Basin.

Both varsity games start at 6pm, with the girls at home and the boys on the road.

As far as the girls game goes, the Lady Broncs have secured the #1 seed for next week’s 4A East regional tournament and the Lady Bolts have secured the #2 seed, thus nothing changes regardless of which team wins today’s game, or if the game ends in a tie.

You can watch a LIVE video stream of the game at sheridanmedia.com and on the Sheridan Media Facebook Page.

As for the boys, there’s not much on the line either.

The Broncs are assured of no worse than the #2 seed for next weekend’s 4A East Regional Tournament, and still have a chance to get the #1 seed, but the team would need some help from Cheyenne South against Cheyenne Central.

The Bolts are locked in as the #3 seed.

Elsewhere, Buffalo plays at home today vs. Newcastle starting at 3 and 5pm, and play tomorrow at Torrington beginning at noon and 2pm.

For the Bison, Saturday’s game could be a battle for first place in the 3A East.
