Cheney: ‘We Must Go Forward Based On Truth’
Wyoming Congresswoman Liz Cheney spoke with reporters following Wednesday morning’s House Republican Conference meeting where House Republicans voted to remove her from her role as conference chair.
Congresswoman Cheney was asked if she had concerns about former President Donald Trump ending up back in the Oval Office and would she do anything to prevent that from happening?
Cheney was then asked if she felt betrayed by her colleagues’ vote to remove her from her leadership role?
Cheney was one of 10 House Republicans who voted to impeach Trump for his role in inciting a mob that attacked the Capitol on January 6. The Congresswoman has also refuted Trump’s claims that the presidential election was stolen from him.

So, Liz, you want the “truth” adhered to? Okay, let’s see now. You continue to insist that the 2020 election was fair and honest and that any challenges to that notion represent a “big lie.” Last fall, after the election, you cited a plethora of court cases all of which went against the president’s lawyers. As a lawyer, you know (or should know) that your statements about that were half-truths at best. You failed to cite one ruling which was based on the results of a full evidentiary hearing. That’s because only one such hearing was ordered (in PA) and that judge’s ruling was overturned by a agenda-driven state supreme court on a procedural technicality (laches). And you continue to base your opinion on judicial rulings with NO evidentiary hearings! You also know, or should know, that no court was going to overturn the certifications after the election was held. The RNC and Trump campaign lawyers should have been in court back in 2019 — a full year ahead of the election and at a time when courts would have been much more disposed to hold full evidentiary hearings without the time pressure put on them last year. So, Liz, just who is it that’s distorting the truth? I question why you were not open to withholding judgment until full and complete forensic audits are held. We’ve already had one such ruling in Michigan where the courts have found that the MI Secretary of State improperly changed election law before the election. There is also a full and complete audit (not a simple, worthless recount) in progress in Arizona. And yet you press ahead with your preconceived notions and represent them as “truth.” It certainly looks as if you’re acting not out of a genuine concern for the Constitution, but out of a personal vendetta against Donald Trump, presumably for remarks he had made about your father and you. You needed to check your ego at the door and focus on serving the legitimate interests of the people of Wyoming. And those interests include verifying via forensic audits in the swing states the procedures followed in the 2020 election. People deserve to know if their elections are fair and honest. But you seem more consumed with personal hatred of the former president. Congressional representatives need to be better than that and I imagine that’s why your fellow Republicans voted you out of your leadership position today. Perhaps it’s time for you to take a long look in the mirror.

I agree. To date the majority of decisions made by the Biden administration have been a vendetta against Trump. That is not the job of the President and yet, that is what we are seeing. Governing is not a sport to see who can land the most blows to the other team. This is our Country! We are not a Socialist Nation and God willing, we never will be. We are also NOT mass of bickering adolescents. I did not vote FOR Trump, I voted AGAINST Clinton. Trump, in my opinion did a lot of good and some things that I did not agree with. We have a situation in America that the elite are running the show. We do not have investigative reporters anymore, we have journalist who are told what they are to say regardless of fact. We know that because they are all repeating the same words over and over like they are trying to brainwash people from their TV and computer screens. We are ALL in danger of losing our Great Nation. We need true leadership and our representatives represent the voice of those who elected them. It is a representative’s job to represent us in Washington. When they “vote their conscience”, the people they represent have no voice.

All that verbiage and not a single statement of fact that would justify a lack of faith in the election results, which is why your challenges are about the supposed flaws in the process, not the fact of the numbeers If you had ever worked an election you would know that all results are compiled by local precinct level. The kind of fraud you claim would require that literally 10’s of thousands of local officials be complicit in the scam. Do the math and realize that Lilliputian logic doesn’t overcome reality. Just because you all say it doesn’t make it true.
