Habitat for Humanity of the Eastern Bighorns Marketing and Outreach Specialist Denim Lindd and Development Director Meredith Sopko spoke on the upcoming Women Build 2026.

The annual Women Build event in Sheridan County this spring, inviting local volunteers to help construct affordable housing for area families while teaching or expanding skills.

According to Habitat, the organization will host approximately 80 women as they join forces with 17,000 women nationwide to create a tangible impact in their communities.

Sopko said the event will take place this spring during the month of May, making it much more accessible for the busy women in the area.

Sopko said no prior construction experience is required, and participants can sign up individually or as part of a team and all proceeds and volunteer labor directly benefit partner families in the Sheridan region.
