A Sheridan Bronc senior is hoping to beef up the defensive line at the collegiate level.
Noah Williamson has signed his National Letter Of Intent (NLI) to play football at Dakota Wesleyan University located in Mitchell, South Dakota.
This past football season he had 22 tackles, including 7 tackles for a loss with 3 sacks.
Williamson also recovered 2 fumbles and had 1 interception.
He says it was his hard work that got him this far, plus his coach put in a good word for him.
“I think talking to Coach Mowry, they have some connections with Coach Mowry, just knowing that I’m a hard worker off and on the field and hoping to see that all improve my academics when I get there and just knowing that I’m a good worker and my statistics hopefully prove some things. I’ve been playing football since I was in the 4th grade and I was a huge wrestler when I was little. I stopped when I got to high school. It was about the same and they kind of just went with one another and ever since I started with football it was just what I want to do.”
Williamson adds he is considering majoring in education.
