Troopers Host Casper Tomorrow / CNFR Finals Open Tomorrow / Big Horn Mountain Trail Run Starts Today

CNFR 2023 – Two Saddle Bronc riders and one Bull rider have been representing Sheridan college on the big rodeo stage.

Clancy Glenn, Joseph Priebe and Wyatt Phelps have been competing at the 2023 College National Finals Rodeo in Casper all competitors are guaranteed three rides in their respective events, and the top 12 on three, make it to the championship short-go.

In the Bronc riding, Glenn turned in scores of 71.5, 61, and had a no-score on his final ride, Priebe had scores of 64.5, 68, and a no-score.

Both are out of the top 12, and will not return for tomorrow’s championship short-go.

In Bull riding, Phelps has had two no scores and 85.5, which was the winning score in round two.

Despite only going 1-for-3 on his bulls, he has a great of chance of returning for the championship short-go, because he sits in 3rd place, but that won’t become official until tonight.

As of the end of Thursday’s Perf, one rider has ridden twice and another has ridden Three times.

Phelps has the highest score of those who have one bull riden so far,

In round one, only 2 of 32 cowboys made it to the 8-second whistle.

In round two, four made it, with Phelps being one of them. mid-way through round three, only two have succeeded, meaning there’s only been total of 8 successful bull rides the entire week.

TROOPER BASEBALL – The Sheridan Troopers have won 13 of their last 14 tomorrow they open league play hosting a double header with the Casper Oilers.

Troops Head coach Austin Cowen says it should be a great battle tomorrow.

TRAIL RUN – The annual Big Horn Mountain Trail Run gets going today the 100 milers hit the course today the 52, 32 and 18 mile events starting tomorrow. the finish is in Scott Bicentennial park in Dayton and the public is invited to come out for all the festivities tomorrow,

ROCKIES BASEBALL – The Colorado Rockies dropped the opener in their series at Atlanta last night 8-3, they go again tonight first pitch is at 5:20. you can hear the Rockies live this season on Smart Talk 106.3 FM.
