The Clearmont Community Center held their 47th Annual Fundraising Dinner and Auction on Sunday, September 18, at 5:30 p.m. in the Community Center lower level. Funds raised go to the upkeep of the building.

Amy Rowe and Mike Buss

Brannian Auctions LLC, donated their time at Sunday night’s auction. Brannian has been doing the auction for over 40 years, and had this to say:

Amy Rowe, Clearmont Community Center Board member, said that the highest selling item was a generous donation from C&K Equipment of a week’s equipment rental, valued at $1000. It went for $700.

Other top bid items included a Richard Bohlmann painting, for $175 and quilts for $70 and $80 each. Home baked goods have always been high sellers, with a pie this year going for $90. Another high seller was a 1947 Dick Tracy Comic, donated by Pastor Cody Ramsay, which was valued at $200 and was sold for $100.

The auction raised $4,879.50. Tim Rowe won the raffle of a custom rifle from Widowmier Precision Rifles. The raffle raised a total of $4060.

“This is the most money raised in the four years I’ve been on the foundation board. The board as a whole feels very blessed and grateful to the Clearmont, Buffalo, and Sheridan communities. We have more updates to the building in the future and these funds help us keep the building open and free for the community to use for meetings and get-togethers,” Rowe said.
