Wyoming legislators have spent the past three legislative sessions trying to pass laws targeting library content.   If community members don’t want to engage with certain ideas, they don’t have to, but they don’t have the right to impose their beliefs on others.  Being able to learn new ideas, especially those we may disagree with, is foundational to a healthy democracy.  I do not support this bill.    215 Votes

Having books with adult topics available in libraries limits parents’ ability to choose when their children are mature enough to read specific material.  Parents should have the right to decide what material their kids are exposed to.  Keeping inappropriate content out of libraries doesn’t stop people from reading those books, or prevent authors from writing them.  I support this bill   118 Votes
