The WYO Performing Arts and Education Center is inviting the community to hear hidden stories from Wyoming’s Bighorn Mountains come to life when singer-songwriter Dave Munsick performs at the WYO Theater on Saturday, Sept. 13.

Munsick, a recipient of the Wyoming Governor’s Arts Award, is known for writing and singing of a West that many miss, one defined by emotional landscapes and connections that transcend time and place. His songs and stories are described as flowing smoothly, lingering long, and leaving a lasting impression.

According to the WYO, over the course of his career, Munsick has produced seven CDs of original music, written and recorded themes for historical documentaries, created compositions for government and private sectors, and developed immersive educational modules on Western history.

He has performed solo and with bands, sharing stages with Chris LeDoux, Lyle Lovett, and Ian Tyson, and is known for his versatility on fiddle, piano, and guitar.

The Sept. 13, concert will feature an evening of storytelling and music at the WYO Theater that organizers say captures the heart and soul of the West.
