Community Screening to Explore Luke Bell’s Legacy
On May 7, at 7 p.m., at the WYO Theater, Wyoming PBS, in partnership with At-Ease Horsemanship, will host a free community screening of the Wyoming PBS documentary “Frontier State: The Story of Luke Bell”.
Doors open at 6 p.m. with light refreshments, and live music provided by Gillette artist Kellen Smith.
Christina George, Director of Marketing, Outreach, and Communications at Wyoming PBS, talked about the event.
Luke Bell, was a rising country music artist known for his timeless sound and deep ties to the American West. Behind his growing success, however, Bell quietly battled mental health challenges—a struggle that ultimately claimed his life.
Wyoming PBS CEO Joanna Kail (Kale) added that this special evening will honor Luke Bell’s artistic legacy while encouraging meaningful dialogue to improve mental health awareness and access in Wyoming She added this about the series the documentary is a part of.
Following the film there will be a panel discussion concerning what help is available for mental illness.
