The “boom” will not take place at the 2021 Red White and Boom celebration in Gillette.

Citing high fire danger, the Campbell County Parks and Recreation Department has canceled the firework portion of its Fourth of July activities.

All other activities scheduled for that day, including the pancake feed, the 4-mile run/walk event, and the parade are still on.

As far as Sheridan County goes, the fireworks display scheduled at the Big Horn Equestrian Center is still on.

The fireworks show is scheduled to begin at 10pm.

Consumer fireworks, open fires and drones are not allowed.
