Sheridan HS Football: Something will have to give today on the football field.
The last 2 undefeated teams in Wyoming Class 4A go head-to-head as Sheridan visits Natrona County.
NC has the top rushing attack in 4A, but the Broncs have the top rushing defense.
Sheridan Head Coach Jeff Mowry says the best way to stop a good offense is to keep them off the field, and when the opposition does have the ball, try to make them do what they don’t normally do.
Kickoff in Casper is scheduled for 7pm.

Big Horn/Tongue River/Buffalo HS Football: All Sheridan and Johnson County High School Football teams are on the road today.
Big Horn is at Moorcroft beginning at 6pm.
Tongue River is at Wheatland, also at 6pm and Buffalo is at Lander with the same kickoff time.
Sheridan/Johnson County HS Volleyball: Sheridan lost 3-nothing at Kelly Walsh last night, while Big Horn won at home vs. Tongue River 3-1.
The Lady Broncs and Lady Rams are scheduled to compete today and tomorrow at the Casper Invitational.
The Lady Eagles are at home today vs. Burns and tomorrow vs. Torrington.
Buffalo is at home against the same 2 teams in reverse order.
Kaycee will play 4 games today at the Lusk Invitational.
Sheridan HS Tennis: At the Wyoming High School State Tennis Meet in Gillette, the Sheridan boys are in 2nd and the girls are in 7th after Day 1.
The Broncs are represented in today’s semi-finals in every bracket, except for #1 doubles, while the Lady Broncs are in championship contention in the #2 doubles and #3 doubles brackets.
Sheridan/Johnson County HS Cross Country: Some runners from Sheridan, as well as the full teams from Tongue River and Buffalo are scheduled to run today at the Worland Invitational.
A few runners from Sheridan will race today at the Desert Twilight Festival in Mesa, Arizona.
Sheridan HS Girls Swimming and Diving: The Sheridan Pre-Invite and Sheridan Invitational are both scheduled to take place today and tomorrow at the Junior High Swimming Pool.
Junior Hannah Mowry says one of the strengths of this year’s team has been the relay, which hasn’t changed much in the past years, and the experience is beginning to show.
As for Fjell, she’s won several competitions already this season.
The junior says she credits her improvements to off-season workouts both in and out of the pool.
The Pre-Invite is scheduled to begin today at 4pm and the Sheridan Invitational is tomorrow at 9am.
Teams scheduled to attend are Buffalo, both Casper teams, Laramie, Douglas and Jackson.
Sheridan Hawks Junior Hockey: The Sheridan Hawks play their home opener today and tomorrow at the Whitney Rink inside the M&M Center.
The team takes on Bozeman in both games, with the puck dropping at 7:30pm.
Sheridan College Rodeo: Sheridan College hosts the Pat Hamilton Memorial Event today, tomorrow and Sunday at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds.
Slack today starts at 12-noon and the first performance is at 6pm.
Tomorrow has slack starting at 9am and the performance begins at 2pm.
The short-go is Sunday at 10am.
College Football: It’s homecoming week for the Wyoming Cowboys as Hawaii visits Laramie to start Mountain West Conference play.
Kickoff is scheduled for 1pm and you can hear the game LIVE on AM 1410 KWYO and 106.9 FM.
Montana State is home as well to start Big Sky Conference play.
The Bobcats take on Northern Arizona, starting at 8:30pm.
Denver Broncos Football: The Denver Broncos play the Sunday night game this week at home against the LA Rams.
Kickoff is scheduled for 6:20pm and you can hear the game LIVE on Fox Sports 106.3 FM.
Colorado Avalanche Hockey: The Colorado Avalanche play their final 2 pre-season games this weekend.
The team hosts Winnipeg today at 6:30pm and plays at Utah tomorrow at 3pm.
The regular season begins next week Wednesday.
Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies were swept in their final homestand of the season against Arizona.
Ezequiel Tovar hit a solo home run in Wednesday’s 5-3 loss.
Kyle Karros and Zac Veen each hit solo shots yesterday, and Cole Carrigg provided a 3-run blast, but Colorado ended up losing 12-8.
The Rocks will conclude the 2026 season with a 3-game series beginning today at the Chicago White Sox.
First pitch is scheduled for 5:40pm.
Tomorrow’s game starts at 5:10pm and Sunday’s season finale at 1:10pm.
The only thing the Rockies can do is try to play spoiler, as they can ruin Chicago’s chances of winning the AL Central division.
