Sheridan HS Football: It’s homecoming in Sheridan as the Broncs will take to the field against Kelly Walsh.
Kickoff is scheduled for 6pm.
The opposition comes in with a record of 1-2 so far this season, but Sheridan Head Coach Jeff Mowry says the Trojans usually have some of the hardest playing athletes in the state.

Tongue River/Big Horn/Buffalo HS Football: Every Sherdian and Johnson County High School Football team is at home on Friday.
Tongue River kicks off vs. Newcastle at 2pm.
Big Horn entertains Glenrock at 6, and Buffalo will tangle with Powell also at 6pm.
Sheridan/Johnson County HS Volleyball: Sheridan lost at home last night vs. Campbell County 3-sets-to-2.
The Lady Broncs are next scheduled to play tomorrow at Thunder Basin.
Tongue River plays today at Buffalo and will play their home opener tomorrow vs. Newcastle.
Big Horn only has 1 game this week and that is tomorrow at Wright.
Buffalo lost last night 3-nothing at Douglas.
The Lady Bison are at home today vs. Tongue River.
Kaycee won last night at home vs. Midwest 3-1, in their only game of the week.
Wyoming High School State Golf 2026: The 4A and 3A State Meets are today and tomorrow.
Three boys and 1 girl from Sheridan will be at the 4A meet in Evanston.
Buffalo and Tongue River will compete at the 3A meet in Torrington.
Lady Bison Addison Bettinger is the defending 3A girls state champ.
The weather forecast for both areas is calling for up to an 80% of rain, which will make competition a bit difficult.
Big Horn will be at the 2A State Meet, which is also being played in Evanston, with Kemmerer serving as the host, but that meet and the 4A meet can not take place at the same time, so it will be played next week Tuesday and Wednesday.
Regional Tennis: Weather could also be a factor in the regional tennis meets which are scheduled to take place today and tomorrow.
Sheridan is at the North Regional meet in Gillette.
If the tournament can not be played, then players will advance to next weekend’s state tournament, and will be seeded based on their record in head-to-head dual matches vs. other north conference opponents.
Sheridan/Johnson County HS Cross Country: Athletes could be running in the rain tomorrow in the Sheridan Invitational at the VA Medical Facility.
Big Horn, Tongue River and Buffalo are all scheduled to attend.
The varsity boys race starts at 10am and the girls race at 10:30.
Sheridan/Buffalo HS Girls Swimming and Diving: Sheridan is at home for 2 duals this weekend.
The Lady Broncs take on Thunder Basin today at 5pm and will go up against Kelly Walsh tomorrow at 10am.
The Sheridan Invitational is next weekend.
Buffalo is scheduled to host a double dual today vs. Douglas and Newcastle, and then compete tomorrow in the Worland Invitational.
Sheridan Hawks Junior Hockey: The Sheridan Hawks are on the road to Montana against 2 different opponents.
The team is at Helena today and at Great Falls tomorrow.
The puck drops in both games at 7:05pm.
Sheridan is scheduled to play its home opener next weekend vs. Bozeman.
College Football: The Wyoming Cowboys are on the road to Mount Pleasant, Michigan to take on Central Michigan University.

Montana State is at home against Central Connecticut State.
That game in Bozeman starts at 1pm.
Denver Broncos Football: The Denver Broncos play their home opener this Sunday against Jacksonville.

Colorado Avalanche Pre-Season Hockey: hTe Colorado Avalanche play their first pre-season game on Sunday at home vs. Utah.
The puck drops at 5pm.
The Avs will play 4 pre-season games and the regular season starts on Wednesday, September 30th at home vs. Los Angeles.
Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies ended up losing 3 out of 4 games at home vs. San Diego, losing on Wednesday 9-3 and yesterday 9-2.
Kyle Karros hit a 2-run home run for the Rockies on Wednesday.
In yesterday’s game, the Padres hung up a 7-spot on the scoreboard in the top of the 2nd inning and never looked back.
The Rocks start a 3-game home series today vs. Seattle.
