Sheridan Boys Tennis Team Places 3rd; Girls 9th At 2026 State Meet
Ben Bujans is the state champ in boys #1 singles, and the Sheridan Broncs placed 3rd in 3 other brackets, to finish 3rd at the 2026 state meet in Gillette.
After finishing 3rd in last year’s state meet, Bujans defeated William Freymann of Jackson this year (7-5, 4-6, 6-4), in a rematch of last week’s North Regional championship, which Freymann won.
Blake Ligocki (boys #2 singles), Christian Laman and Lawson Woodrow (boys #2 doubles), and Andre Wei and Michael Hodnett (boys #3 doubles) each placed 3rd in their respective brackets.
On the girls side, Madeline and Camden Miller were 4th in #3 doubles, to help the Lady Broncs finish 9th.
Cheyenne Central won both the boys and girls team titles.
For the Lady Indians, it’s a 4-peat.
