Sheridan HS Football: The final score may have been closer than many would have liked it to be, but the Sheridan High School Football team learned a few lessons from their 14-9 win.
The Broncs took advantage and scored touchdowns off of 2 turnovers in the first quarter last week at Campbell County, but that was it offensively.
On the other side, the defense was able to keep the Camels out of the end zone until the middle of the 4th quarter.
Head Coach Jeff Mowry says the players need to remember that every 4A team in the state is coming after them and each new opponent is going to step things up more than the last opponent did.
This week is homecoming as Sheridan entertains Kelly Walsh.
Kickoff on Friday is scheduled for 6pm.
Cruz Hernandez of BH Breaks Wyoming High School Career Touchdown Record: Big Horn has 1 player that has cruised his way into the end zone at a record level.
Senior Cruz Hernandez has already broken the Wyoming record for most touchdowns scored in a high school career.
He currently stands at 81 and there’s still 6 games remaining on the regular season schedule, and in all likelihood, several more games in the post season.
Hernandez says he has not been paying attention to the numbers.
The Rams are at home this coming Friday vs. Glenrock.
Kickoff is scheduled for 6pm.
Denver Broncos Football: The season for the Denver Broncos did not get off to a good start, as the team lost 31-10 at Kansas City last night in the Monday night game.
Quarterback Bo Nix was 17 of 28 passing for 131 yards and 1 touchdown throw to Evan Engram, however he threw 1 interception, was sacked 4 times and fumbled once.
The Broncos only amassed 61 yards on the ground, and was 2 of 12 on 3rd down conversions, while the opposition was 9 of 17.
The Chiefs got 19 first downs in the game, compared to Denver’s 9.
The Broncos are scheduled to play their home opener this coming Sunday vs. Jacksonville.
Kickoff is scheduled for 2:05pm.
Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies lost the first game of a 4-game series last night at home vs. San Diego 8-7.
Cole Carrigg provided a solo home run to help the cause, but the comeback came up short.
The Rocks have now lost 8 in a row and 9 of the last 10.
There’s 12 games remaining on the regular season schedule and the team has to win at least 8 of them to avoid another 100-loss season.
The Rockies and Padres are scheduled to play each other again today, starting at 6:40pm.
