Tanner Hamrick of Sheridan HS To Play Baseball At Garden City CC: A Sheridan High School baseball player will soon go from being a Bronc to a Broncbuster.

Tanner Hamrick, who plays shortstop for the Sheridan Troopers Legion Baseball team, has a signed a written offer of athletic aid, to play the same position at Garden City Community College, which is located in western Kansas.

This past season with the Troopers, he had a batting average of .347 with 34 RBI’s.

Defensively he had a fielding percentage of .943 and helped turn 13 double plays.

Hamrick says he was considering Hutchinson CC, where his older brother Cael went to, but once the Broncbusters made him an offer, he was sold on where he wanted to go.

He explains what he thinks it was that the Garden City CC Coaching Staff saw in him.

Hamrick adds he is considering majoring in either sports psychology or radiology.

The Broncbuster baseball team compiled a record of 22-35 this past season.


Sheridan County HS Basketball: A very busy weekend of games in Sheridan County starts today.

Sheridan will play in their home opener vs. Natrona County.

The girls game tips off at 5:30pm and the boys game will follow.

The Broncs and Lady Broncs also play tomorrow at Kelly Walsh.

Tongue River and Big Horn each play 4 games this weekend, starting today.

The Eagles host Wyoming Indian and the Rams host Big Piney, with the first varsity game at both places scheduled to begin at 6pm.

TR and BH are each scheduled to play twice tomorrow and one more on Saturday.

The Arvada-Clearmont boys team is also scheduled to play today.

The Panthers host the Sheridan Freshmen team, beginning at 4pm.


University of Wyoming Women’s Basketball: The Wyoming Cowgirls are off to a 1-0 start in the Mountain West Conference, thanks to an 83-60 win last night at home vs. San Jose State.

The ladies grabbed 15 offensive rebounds and turned those into 24 second chance points.

Malene Pedersen and Henna Sandvik both led the way by scoring 21 points each.

Wyoming is next scheduled to play this coming Saturday at Fresno State.
