Sheridan/Johnson County HS Basketball: The Sheridan High School Boys and Girls Basketball teams each started the season with a win yesterday in Casper against 3A Douglas.
The Broncs score was 65-45 and the Lady Broncs score was 47-30.
Sheridan is scheduled to take on Riverton today beginning at noon and 1:30pm at the Ford Wyoming Center and will play Arvada West out of Colorado tomorrow at 11am and 12:30pm at the Wyoming Sports Ranch.
Aaron Ligocki will have the LIVE radio play-by-play call of those games, on AM 1410 KWYO and 106.9 FM.
The Arvada-Clearmont boys were the only other North-Central Wyoming team that started their season yesterday.
The Panthers lost on the road against the Buffalo freshmen team 48-21.
All other high school basketball teams in Sheridan and Johnson County are scheduled to start their seasons today.
The Tongue River boys and girls will play 2 today and 2 tomorrow at Glenrock
The Big Horn boys and girls play 2 today at Burns and 1 tomorrow at Wheatland.
The Arvada-Clearmont girls play 1 today and 2 tomorrow at Upton.
The Buffalo boys and girls play 1 today and 2 tomorrow in Gillette and the Kaycee boys and girls play 2 today at Glenrock and 2 tomorrow at Wright.

Sheridan/Johnson County HS Wrestling: The Sheridan boys and girls teams started their season yesterday with a home dual win vs. Worland.
The Broncs are scheduled to compete today and tomorrow at Cheyenne, while the JV team is in Powell and the Lady Broncs will be in Rapid City, South Dakota.
The Tongue River and Buffalo boys teams will also be at Powell, while the girls teams are at Cody.
Sheridan/Buffalo HS Boys Swimming and Diving: The High School Boys Swimming and Diving season is scheduled to start today.
Both Sheridan and Buffalo will be at the Gillette Relays today and the Gillette Pentathlon tomorrow.
Sheridan HS Nordic Skiing: The season was supposed to start this weekend in Jackson, but the meet was postponed due to not enough snow in the area.
A makeup day is to be announced.
The next scheduled nordic ski meet is scheduled to take place on January 2nd and 3rd at Pinedale.
Sheridan Hawks/Lady Hawks Amateur Hockey: It’s going to be a busy weekend at the M&M Center in Sheridan.
The Sheridan Hawks host Pinedale today at 8pm and tomorrow at 10:15am, and also host Cody tomorrow at 7:30pm and Sunday at 10:45am.
The Sheridan Lady Hawks will play their home opening games this weekend as they will entertain Cheyenne tomorrow at 5:30pm and on Sunday at 8:45am.
Sheridan Hawks Junior Hockey: The Sheridan Hawks are in Minnesota to prepare for the NA3HL Showcase Event.
The team is scheduled to take on the undefeated and defending Frasier Cup champ Louisiana Drillers on Sunday starting at 5:15pm.
Sheridan also plays on Monday and Tuesday, then return home for a break and resume play after the New Year.
University of Wyoming Women’s Basketball: The Wyoming Cowgirls play their last non-conference game on Sunday at Minnesota.
Tip-off is scheduled for 4pm.
UW plays 2 Mountain West Conference Games next week.
University of Wyoming Wrestling: The Wyoming Cowboys will arguably host their biggest meet against their biggest opponent this weekend.
The Brown and Gold will dual the 4-time defending National Champion Penn State tomorrow at 6pm.
UW is 2-2 in dual meets so far this season and lost 54-zip when they visited the Nittany Lions last year.
Denver Broncos Football: The Denver Broncos are entering the stretch run of their schedule, as they play 3 of their last 4 regular season games at home.
The Broncos will try to make it 11-wins in a row, as the team hosts Green Bay this Sunday.
Kickoff is scheduled for 2:25pm and you can hear the game LIVE on AM 1410 KWYO and 106.9 FM.
Denver can clinch a playoff spot with a win and if Indianapolis loses at Seattle.
Denver Nuggets Basketball: The Denver Nuggets won last night at Sacramento 136-105.
The Nuggets are next scheduled to play Monday at home vs. Houston.
Colorado Avalanche Hockey: The Colorado Avalanche won last night at home vs. the 2-time defending Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers 6-2.
The Avs are next scheduled to play tomorrow at home vs. Nashville.
