Cashis Kula Of Sheridan HS To Play Baseball At Western Nebraska CC
It may be too cold to play baseball right now, but one Sheridan Trooper and Sheridan HS senior has decided where he’s going to pitch at the collegiate level.
Cashis Kula has signed a written offer of athletic aid to compete at Western Nebraska Community College in Scottsbluff.
This past season he split time pitching for both the Troopers and the Jets.
Kula says he’s been playing baseball for as long as he can remember and explains what he thinks it was, that got the Western Nebraska Baseball Coaching Staff interested in him.
“I’m hoping they saw that I’m willing to compete when I go down there and that I will show everyone that that’s my intent is to compete and win them games and help win. I’ve been doing it since I was a little kid and honestly I just fell in love with it right away. Played my first little bit of games and it was just fun. I love the teammates that I’ve had along the way and they just make it even better.”
Kula adds he is considering majoring in either radiology or physical therapy.
The Western Nebraska Cougars went 27-26 during the 2025 season.
