Parker Treide Of Sheridan HS To Play Soccer At Black Hills State Univ.
The Wyoming High School Soccer season doesn’t start until next spring, but one Sheridan High School senior has already decided where she will continue to play after the season is over.
Parker Treide has signed a written offer of athletic aid to compete at Black Hills State University.
This past season as a junior, she scored 6 goals and had 13 assists while helping the Lady Broncs to a 15-2-1 record.
Treide says playing soccer has not only helped her improve her style of play, it has also helped her improve her style as a person.
“I think that I get a lot of gratitude and thankfulness for the people that I do it with and then also I think that it has helped me tremendously grow as a person. I definitely wouldn’t be who I am today, my character, anything like that if I hadn’t been playing a sport like soccer. It’s put me into a lot of situations that I wouldn’t have had without playing a sport and it’s just a lot of things to navigate and it’s been really rewarding.”
Treide adds she is undecided on a major, but is thinking about either exercise science or political science.
