Lora Helene Donohue
Lora was a warrior and daughter to our Lord and Savior.
On February 26, 2026, at 1:30 PM, Lora Helene Donohue was called by our Lord after a brave and valiant fight with metastatic breast cancer. She was born on the 5th of April in 1964 to Glenn and Janet Reagan in Inglewood, CA.
In 1973 the family moved to Silver City, NM where she gained a love for art, the native people and began making jewelry as a young girl. She and her brothers Gary and Robert would spend much of their time outside creating adventures together.
The family then moved to Sheridan, WY in 1978, and she would go hunting and fishing with her dad who gave her a deep appreciation of nature. She had a great love for the mountains and open spaces whether it was in New Mexico, Wyoming or any of the other states that she visited. Her passionate love for this country ran deep.
Lora brought into this world two beautiful boys which she loved more than words can express, and during her first marriage, embraced a step-son as her own.
Her love of art led her to pursue a degree which she attained, making the Dean’s Honor List. While gaining her art degree she learned pottery and was an awarded potter at a juried art show. She had an eye for design which she put to use starting her own business creating handmade jewelry.
Lora was a friend of Bill and helped guide hundreds of people to a better way of life. She gave of herself unreservedly. Her desire to help those in need was evidenced by her actions, whether it was someone fighting addiction or her staunch defense of the unborn.
Lora loved to garden and turned the backyard into a beautiful vegetable garden where she would spend hours working the land, talking to God, the vegetables and the many birds that frequented the garden area. In the fall she would go into the canning mode and produced more food than there was shelf space.
She loved to fish and spend time at her quiet secluded meditation place on the mountain. She had said, when first diagnosed with this disease two years ago, that she hoped that she would be given the opportunity to go on the mountain and fish. She was able to do that last summer, as it came to pass, one last time.
Lora never gave up and you always knew where you stood with her.
She is preceded in death by her mother Janet O. Nelson, father in-law Charles Lee, son Joseph A. Onkka and step-son Chris Onkka. Survived by father and step-mother B. Glenn and Margot Reagan, husband Michael K. Donohue, step-mother Donna Lee, brothers Gary and Robert Reagan, sisters-in-law Marcie Morrow, Amy McMullen and Mary Dailey-Smith, step-brother and sister Brad and Tammy White and step-brother Dan Dailey.
