Clearmont Council Meets, Discusses Incident at Town Hall
The Clearmont Town Council met Monday night, July 21, with a full agenda.
Mayor Chris Schock made a statement about an incident that happened last week at the Clearmont Town Hall.
Town Clerk Kirstie Auzqui, who was directly involved in the incident, added her comment,
She said that this resident has made only 10 payments in the 20 months she has been working for the town of Clearmont. She said that prior to her becoming town clerk, the customer owed a high utility bill because the town had not been diligent about collecting payments.
They both expressed gratitude for the Sheridan County Sheriff’s Department for the way that they responded the incident.
Shock said that the customer who created the incident also needed the curb stop replaced.
Schock talked about the upcoming The United States Semiquincentennial, or 250 year, celebration, and the fact that the high school students have been asked to design a flag for Clearmont honoring it.
He added that will be a virtual meeting with the Wyoming Business Council on August 7, with information about what the Harvard Growth Lab may be able to do for Clearmont with the data they took in last month.

He also reported on the Clearmont Day celebration, saying that a lot of people attended.
There was an extended discussion on the validity of local addresses, as several are different than those on the Sheridan County map. The council voted to validate the addresses as per the county map.
Next meeting will be on August 18 at town hall.
