Wyoming Game and Fish Public Information Specialist Christina Schmidt reported a few seats still available for hunter education class.
A hunter education class is being offered in Sheridan July 15 – 17. Classes will run from noon until 5 p.m. each day.
Schmidt reports five seats remain in the class but those are not expected to remain open very long.
Interested parties can sign up online through the Wyoming Game and Fish Department website by clicking here. Schmidt suggests that even if the seats become full, to put a name on the waiting list. Should someone cancel, names on the waitlist are automatically emailed to fill the seat. Schmidt advises this might be the last hunter education class before hunting season.

Traditional hunter education courses are taught in person and are instructor-led in a classroom setting. Traditional courses are better for students 12 years old and younger, hands-on learners, or individuals new to firearm handling.
Courses are 12-18 hours long and scheduled over 2-5 days. The course covers hunter responsibility and ethics, wildlife conservation and management, firearms and firearm safety, Game and Fish statutes and regulations, game care, wildlife identification, and outdoor safety.
Spanish curriculum and translators are available upon request.
