For the fifth year, with the exception of 2020, Clearmont Shop Hop had a very successful show this past weekend.
The Shop Hop, with Clearmont Area businesses selling everything from pottery to pickles and from quilts to shabby chic furniture, drew large crowds on both Friday and Saturday, thanks in part to the warm spring weather.
Over a dozen vendors, spread out through the town of Clearmont, with two vendors on the outskirts of the town. There were tasting, samples of salsa, pickles and caramel puff corn as well.
The Hop went from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, with lunch being served by the Clearmont Community Church from 11 to 2.
Peggy Roadifer, owner of Windrose Pottery, one of the founders of the event, talked about the 2021 Hop.
“We sold a lot of pots and had a good day at the Shop Hop, and are looking forward to the fall shop hop.”
Merrilee Albers, owner of Vintiques of Wyoming, along with Richard Rhoades creator and owner of Red Pony Salsa, who have been participating in the shop hop since 2017, had this to say about the event.
“People loved the lunch that the church put on. They liked the entire event.” Albers added, “I think we had about the same amount of people this year. They are usually well attended. People seemed very appreciative of the Shop Hop this year because of Covid causing so many disruptions.”
The fall shop hop is planned for the first weekend in November.
