Buffalo Re-Zoning Ordinance Passes First Reading

An Ordinance that will re-zone a section of the Burlington Addition to the City of Buffalo was passed on first reading by the Buffalo City Council Tuesday night.

The Ordinance will rezone Block 28, the west 75 feet of Lot 9, Lot 10, and Lot 11 from R-1 Single Family Residential to R-2 Multi-family Residential.

According to discussions at the meeting, the Ordinance will bring an existing, non-conforming facility into compliance with city code zoning regulations once it is passed by the council.

A public hearing was held before the vote on the Ordinance, with no public comment offered.

The council will need to pass the Ordinance a second and third time for itr to take effect.
