SA&RC Invites Public to Honor Victims and Celebrate Survivors with a Night of Lights

Sheridan Advocacy and Resource Center Executive Director Yvonne Shirey and Assistant Director Rhonda Weber appeared on Sheridan Media’s Pulse to invite the community to a new event celebrating survivors, honoring victims and raising awareness of domestic violence.  

The event marks Domestic Violence Awareness Month, observed each October.

Participants will join the awareness walk with purple lights and have access to information about support resources. Weber said the event is intended to bring the community together and remind survivors they do not have to face abuse alone.

The Sheridan Advocacy and Resource Center will hold “Make the Night Bright” beginning at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, at Grinnell Plaza in Sheridan.
