Clearmont Council Discusses Feral Cat Roundup

At Monday night’s Clearmont Town Council meeting, Mayor Chris Schock drew two names for the winners of chamber bucks, which were given for people completing a survey about the town during the Clearmont Day celebration. Katie Fennema and Mark King each won a chamber buck.

Schock also reported that the water line replacement work on Meade Ave was continuing.

He also talked about an upcoming event in Clearmont this weekend.

Councilman Kaelan Haring reported on what the Clear Creek Rec District is doing this fall and winter.

The council also voted to blow out the irrigation lines at the Clearmont Community Church, while they are using the rental compressor to get the town water lines ready for winter.

The council then moved to go into an executive session to discuss real estate matters. When the council resumed the regular session, they voted to approve the mayor contacting the town attorney to make an offer on a piece of real estate outside of town.

Next meeting will be October 19 at 6 p.m. at town hall.
