Trial Date Rescheduled for Man Charged With Drug Distribution
The trial date for a California man who was arrested for distributing drugs in Sheridan has been rescheduled. Kishan Sangha of California was scheduled to stand trial on June 28 in Fourth Judicial District Court in Sheridan for the charges of Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance With Intent to Deliver- Methamphetamine, and Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance With Intent to Deliver- Heroin. The trial date was rescheduled at a recent hearing in District Court because there is another case that takes precedence that is expected to go to trial on June 28 as well. District Court Judge John Fenn rescheduled the three-day jury trial for September 20.
According to court documents, Sangha was arrested on September 23 last year when the Sheridan Police Department received a report of potential drug sales at a residence in Sheridan. During the investigation, a male subject from California was identified as a supplier of methamphetamine from a local motel. A search warrant on Sangha’s motel room resulted in the seizure of methamphetamine and heroin. Each count of Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance With Intent to Deliver is punishable by up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $25,000.
