North Shore of DeSmet to Receive Boat Ramp Next Month

Lake DeSmet Operations Manager Paul Mavrakis appeared on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse to provide an update on operations at Johnson County’s recreation destination.

Lake DeSmet receives thousands of visitors every year. Owned and maintained by Johnson County, the lake offers easily accessible large boating and fishing opportunities.

In a partnership with the Wyoming Game and Fish Department, Johnson County has funded a project expanding the public access of the north shore of the lake. 

Mavrakis said a crew will take advantage of this year’s low rainfall to install a boat ramp next month.
