SCLT Annual BBQ Will Celebrate 20 Years of Trails Conservation and Local History

Sheridan Community Land Trust Executive Director Brad Bauer and Marketing and Development Contractor Chris Vrba appeared on Public Pulse inviting the public to celebrate its 20th anniversary during the annual SCLT Backyard BBQ from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26 at the Big Goose Natural Area. 

Presented by Eliason Financial and First Federal Bank & Trust, the free community event will feature live music by Tris Munsick and Trout Goggles, food, drinks, games, a community cornhole tournament  – requires a $40 entry for two-person teams and the winners are awarded half the pot – and a Double Your Impact raffle. 

Bauer said he recently reflected on how far SCLT has come in 20 years and is proud of the positive impact the land trust has had on trails, community education and engagement and conservation of land and local history.

SCLT has held an annual free BBQ for three years, this year the BBQ will also serve as the 20 year anniversary celebration and include two music acts, Tris Munsick and Trout Goggles. SCLT is encouraging the public to bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and an appetite. Pets are welcome, and organizers encourage attendees to register in advance to help them determine how much food and drink will be needed.
