SCLT to Explore Prehistoric History in Program
Hail Caesar! Sheridan College’s Allosaurus, is the title of The Sheridan Community Land Trust March Explore History program. The program will be held on Tuesday, March 12, staring at 10 a.m. at the Hub on Smith. The program will feature Caesar, a fossilized Allosaurus discovered by Sheridan College students during a dig near Buffalo in the 1990s.
Collections Manager Bill Matteson will talk about Caesar, and the little details that go into bringing such a large animal to life. You will also learn about paleontology and stories about how the students discovered and excavated such an incredible find!
Explore History is free to attend and open to all. This Explore History program offers open conversation for community members to share their memories or historical information about these sites and events.
