Last Weekend for Fabric and Fiber Show
The Clearmont Historical Group’s First Fabric and Fiber Show will end on October 31. Clearmont Historical Center Director Sandy Hirz said this is last weekend for the show. “We are open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 10-2,” she said.

She added about the show,

Anyone who would like to demonstrate some of their artistic techniques with fabric next year is encouraged to call Sandy at the Clearmont Historical center, 1-307-758- 4685 or email at clearmonthistory@gmail.com

Swedish embroidery was demonstrated by Donna Bullick. This technique keeps the back of the fabric clean, unlike standard embroidery where the threads are on the back of the fabric.

Hirz also said they plan to have the show in October again next year.

Julie Weber demonstrated Wool Rug Hooking and Wool Punch Needle techniques.
Upcoming events at the Center will be the annual Veteran’s Program to be held on Nov. 11, beginning with a ceremony at the Clear Creek Valley Veterans Memorial, and then continuing at the Clearmont Community Center with special speakers and special patriotic music.
On November 17, Dave Nicolarsen and Mike Bloodsworth of Sheridan’s Natural History Museum will present a program on the Green River Formation and Fossil Fish. It will be held at 2 p.m. in the Clearmont Community Center.
