The Johnson County Commission, at their meeting this week, were updated on an issue that surfaced at the Bomber Mountain Civic Center (BMCC), and were notified of some potential problems in the near future.

Tom Knapp, chairman of the JOCO First Board that oversees the BMCC, explained an issue with the building that happened back in October.

Knapp said the building was reopened on October 16th, and only canceled one event during the closure.

Thee cost of the new line was roughly $25,000 according to Knapp.

He also said there are other problems with the building that will eventually need to be addressed in the future, including a boiler that will need to be replaced, repairs to or replacement of the roof, and the heating and cooling system.
