AARP Wyoming is offering the Sheridan Caregiver Pit Stop to help give the region’s caregivers a little relief while performing a self-check.

Stella Montano, recipient of the 2026 AARP Wyoming Andrus Award for Community Service, has over a decade of experience working with caregivers, organizing support groups and alerting them to resources during her 13 years while working at the Sheridan Senior Center, now The Hub on Smith.

Montano’s passion to help those who care for others continues. She recently invited caregivers in the Sheridan Region to the Sheridan Caregiver Pit Stop event during an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Pulse.

The Sheridan Caregiver Pit Stop will be 10 a.m. – noon Saturday, Nov. 7 at Sheridan Commercial True Value Hardware located at 303 Broadway St. in Sheridan.

To allow for a good count of self-care bags, AARP Wyoming does ask for registration prior to making the pit stop. RSVP is required to receive a bag, as supplies are limited.

Register by clicking here or by calling 1-877-926-8300. You do not have to be an AARP Member or over the age of 50 to attend.
