Two Billings Teens Arrested In Connection To Death Of Rocky Mountain College Football Player
Two teens in Billings, Montana have been arrested in connection to the shooting death of a Rocky Mountain College Football player, who may not have been the intended target.
Police say 18-year old Chandler Stalcup from Florida came to help a friend, following a fight at a house party on 15th Street West.
Shots were later fired and Stalcup fled the area in a vehicle, and the suspects followed in another, eventually caught up to Stalcup, fired 1 shot and hit him.
Stalcup later died at a hospital.
Police say the motive for the shooting is unclear, however it is possible the 2 teens mistook Stalcup as someone who was initially involved in the fight, even though he wasn’t.
Stalcup was a freshman who played as a defensive lineman for the Battlin’ Bears.
Rocky Mountain College has announced the team will play this Saturday’s game (November 4th) at Arizona Christian University and will return to play in next Saturday’s (November 11th) home and regular season finale vs. Montana State Northern.
