Aaron PalmerIn her report to the Hospital Board of Trustees at their last meeting, Amie Holt Care Center Director of Nursing Brenda Gorm said they had 13 people on the waiting list for a room at the facility, and families had been contacted where they found some had passed, some aren’t ready to move in, and they are waiting on calls back from others.
She said there have been recent changes at the state level that may affect the facility moving forward.
The current census at the care center is 29, and with staffing in place could go to 33 residents or more, according to Gorm.
She said they are having difficulties getting CNA candidates approved due to the staff shortages at the state level.
