cvannoyThe annual Clearmont Fall Shop Hop was held on November 1st and 2nd at various locations around the Clearmont area. Many of the vendors had booths in the Clear Creek Recreation Center, including Weeping Willow Designs; Sagebrush Gypsy Designs; Wyoming Bumpkin Bath and Body, and some youth vendors, Ranger the Rock Trader and June Bugs Bake Sale.
One booth was the FFA Alumni Meat Sales, Katie Fennema talked about how the funds would be used.
She added that this was the first time they had done a meat sale, and that it was their first year at the Shop Hop. They are doing turkeys for Thanksgiving and Christmas. The last pickup date on the meat will be December 13, and the meat that has been ordered will be available after that date. On Saturday, the FFA reported very successful sales of the meat.
A homemade lunch at the Clearmont Community Church consisted of soup, salad, rolls and desserts, was well attended by the shoppers.
Merilee Albers and Richard Rhoades with Vintiques of Wyoming and Red Pony Salsa, said this is their eighth shop hop.
Richard Rhoades, Red Pony Salsa, said he had sold eight cases of the relish during the first hour of the shop hop. “People who have tried it before decided it was just easier to buy it by the case. It’s a best seller for us,” Merilee added.
A new activity just added this year was very well attended, with nearly 20 people signing up to learn how to craft floral bouquets. Bailey Underwood offered the class.
Underwood added, “I hope I can come back every year.”
