Aaron PalmerAt their meeting this month, the Board of Trustees for the Johnson County School District were given the latest numbers on student enrollment in the district, which showed a decrease by one from September.
According to the report, as of October 4, overall enrollment in the district’s schools was 1,141 which was down from 1,142 the previous month.
Clear Creek Middle School lost two students, while Cloud Peak Elementary and New West High School each lost one student since the beginning of the year.
Kaycee K-12 School picked up three students during the same time to bring the district’s loss to only one student overall.
By school, enrollment as of October 4 was 211 at Meadowlark Elementary; 240 at Clear Creek Middle School; 225 at Cloud Peak Elementary; 319 at Buffalo High School; 29 at New West Alternative High School; and 118 at the Kaycee K-12 School.
