Sheridan County adds 23 more cases in 24 hours
Twenty-three more cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Sheridan County in the last 24 hours.
Sheridan has experienced 3,279 lab confirmed cases since the pandemic began.
According to COVID-19 Public Information Officer Jennifer Graves, there are currently 220 active cases in the Sheridan County community, 159 lab confirmed and 69 probable cases.
In Sheridan County, 35 residents have died due to COVID-19.
Currently, 14 patients are hospitalized in Sheridan County suffering from the virus.
According to the Sheridan Memorial Hospital, 83% of COVID-19 patients who have required hospitalization are unvaccinated. Unvaccinated residents are 29 times more likely to require hospitalization than those who have received a vaccine.
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention lists Sheridan County’s level of community transmission as HIGH.

I keep hearing this idea that somehow hospitals get more money for covid patients- I have yet to find a reliable source for for it. Please provide an op cite or quit tying up space with your baseless claims.
